Ebony Vespers

There is a language only understood at dusk, when the light fades and time ceases to be a straight line. Ebony Vespers is the physical echo of that moment.

At the heart of the piece, tourmalinated quartz captures the chaos of the earth in its black veins; a stone that not only observes but also absorbs the weight of all that we carry. Beside it, the scythes—instruments of an inevitable harvest—seek not to cut, but to balance. They are the very boundary between what is preserved and what is surrendered to oblivion.

The poppy seeds, arranged with their silvery rigidity, are promises of a deep sleep, of that rest that only comes after all the seasons have passed. It is the union of earth, sleep, and steel.

To wear Ebony  is to wear a truce. It is to recognize that, in the end, every shadow possesses its own dignity, and that even in the absolute silence of dry branches, there is a beauty that needs no name.
